After several years as a freelance, during which collaborates with L'Espresso, Panorama and the Time, he joined the staff of Banchetto Musicale e Fare Musica. At that time, his photographs are used for record covers and books. From 1985 he began a reportage on the Vatican City. His work is published by Epoca, L'Espresso and Time. In 1991 he became the Italian correspondent of Sipa-Press. Today he works in the management of his vast archive.
