Assunta Servello was born in Calabria in 1956. She has been living in Rome since she moved to attend Sociology courses at University in 1975. In 1984 she realized shoots for cinema and began her collaboration with Grazia Neri Agency. Committed with the Italian magazine Epoca, from 1987 to 1990 she took pictures of people from artistic and cultural world, such as Sergio Leone, Federico Fellini, Franco Zeffirelli, Roberto Benigni, Enzo Biagi, Sergio Zavoli and others. In 1987 she got involved with TVRadiocorriere where she was the official photographer from 1990 to 1995. On assignment of the Parisian Sygma Agency, in 1989 she realized portraits of many international celebrities, from Sharon Stone to Andrew Mc Carty, from Raquel Weelch to Charlotte Gainsbourg, Monica Bellucci and Malcom Mc Dowell. In 1994 she became a professional journalist. Assunta Servello has been currently working with Raicinema, Raifiction and other film production companies.
