Questanno cera il timore di attentati al Festival di Cannes, viste le stragi di Parigi e di Bruxelles; i controlli erano maniacali e il dispiegamento di forze di polizia era notevole. Ognuno ha fatto la sua parte: chi vigilava lo ha fatto con discrezione ma con fermezza e precisione; tutti venivano controllati e ogni borsa perquisita a fondo; i controlli erano scrupolosissimi, ma non ci sono stati incidenti, tutto è filato liscio. La paura, strisciante, cera, ma ha prevalso la voglia di continuare a vivere il più possibile in modo normale e il timore non ha fermato il Festival, che anzi, è stato pi`vivo che mai, nonostante tutto. ©Monica Cillario/Rosebud2

Il festival è un ingranaggio perfetto, una macchina ben oliata dove ognuno ha un compito ben preciso da seguire; alla fine di ogni red carpet, gli inservienti passano laspirapolvere... in fondo, quello rosso è un vero e proprio tappeto e necessita di unaspirapolvere. ©Monica Cillario/Rosebud2
Il Festival di Cannes è una macchina complessa e non è certo solo red carpet e star del cinema. Centinaia di persone contribuiscono a far funzionare tutto lingranaggio festivaliero e le strade si animano di fedelissimi del tappeto rosso, come Martine, che ogni anno si piazza con la sua sedia davanti allingresso della marcia delle star e fotografa i divi prima che entrino. A Cannes lei è una vera e propria istituzione, gli stessi divi sembrano sapere che lei cè, puntuale, ad ogni red carpet e alcuni vanno addirittura a salutarla.
