Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy F. Pausch on a monorail with his son, Dylan, center, and father, Fred, right, who died in 2006. Pausch, has pancreatic cancer. His grim prognosis prompted him to give his last lecture and say his goodbyes. But his inspirational talk aimed at his young children became an Internet sensation, leading to a book expected to be a best seller.
